Footnotes on the measurements
(1) Fornitore: la capacità di un cilindro nuovo e pulito dato dal fornitore di cilindri anilox.
(2) Capatch: ogni risultato rappresenta una misurazione, in totale 4 misurazioni per ogni cilindro anilox.
(3) TCS: Confocal Lasser Scanning Microscope. Ogni risultato rappresenta la media di 5 misurazioni, in totale 20 misurazioni per ogni cilindro anilox. Così un risultato è la media di 5 misurazioni TCS. *
(4) Volucheck: Ogni risultato rappresenta la media di 3 misurazioni, in totale 12 misurazioni per ogni cilindro anilox. Così un risultato è la media di 3 misurazioni. **

Validity and reliability
Concerning the results of the DFTA-TZ, the following should be noted:
The variance of means (TCS, VoluCheck and Urmi II) is always smaller than the variance of unit measurements (Capatch). The data as given appears to be biased against the Capatch. I have advised Steinhart BV to have an additional comparison test done by an independant institute so that unit or equal sample size means are compared between devices in order to make a valid comparison of the reliability of the respective measurement techniques. This comparison shall be complicated by the fact that the various techniques are taken across differing surface areas, so that inherent differences in variance shall occur. On the other hand, each act of taking a measurement is the relevant comparative unit for the user.
